The A590 was closed after a car caught fire and set part of the grass verge alight.
The incident happened close to Levens Hall.

Firefighters were called at 12.04pm, and four tackled the blaze using two hose reel jets and beaters.
Police were also called as there was smoke blowing across carriageway.
Nobody was trapped in the vehicle and the road was reopened following a short closure.
