A 69-YEAR-old man who went missing in the Waberthwaite area was found after a member of the public spotted a lone male on a high crag in Muncaster last night (Monday).
The man, from Warrington, had last been seen at 5pm on Sunday at Grange Farm, Waberthwaite.
Five mountain rescue teams and search dogs had spent the day searching for the missing person.
After he was spotted, Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team and Cumbria Police successfully recovered him. He was treated on scene for dehydration and then stretchered to an awaiting ambulance.
