POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a one vehicle collision on the A591 that left a man with serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to the crash just before 5pm on Saturday, at Plantation Bridge, between Staveley and Kendal.
A 34-year-old man from Morecambe suffered serious leg injuries and was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital.

The westbound carriageway of the A591 was closed for several hours at the junction of Sharps Lane and Ratherheath Lane.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101.
