HELM Hill's Tom Addison won the 30th running of the Hutton Roof Crags fell race in swelteringly warm conditions on Saturday.
The current English champion, who previously won the seven mile race in 2010, took control on the first climb and went on to take the Sheepskin Warehouse Trophy in a time of 47 minutes and 11 seconds.
"I'm really chuffed because it's a race that I love to do and try to fit it into my racing season," said Tom, 25, a recent winner of Stretton Six Summits and Coniston. "I have been doing it since I was a junior and it brings back a lot of good memories. It's a local race and one I enjoy."
In second place, winning the Will Ramsbotham Memorial Trophy, was last year's winner Darren Kay, of Calder Valley, in 47-59. Darren was the winner in 2006 and came second in 2005 and 2008.
