ROYAL Mail has confirmed that it is seeking permission to move Milnthorpe's postbox following the relocation of the town's post office.
Milnthorpe PO is to open at its new seven-days-a-week premises at McColl's convenience store, in The Square, tomorrow (Friday) at 1pm.
Concerns had been raised at Milnthorpe Parish Council about whether the postbox was to be moved, but Royal Mail's Ronit Wolfson confirmed:“Royal Mail is in the process of applying to the local council for permission to relocate the postbox, following the relocation of Milnthorpe Post Office.”
