OVER 100 residents turned out at the weekend for a major community event in Grizebeck.
Locals made a beeline for the village community hall on Saturday for its annual food and craft fair.
It featured cookery demonstrations, Christmas gifts and traditional crafts from local suppliers as well as live cookery shows.
Among the top chefs appearing were Craig Sherrington of The General Burgoyne in Urswick and Made in Cumbria chef Gary McClure. Community hall manager Julia Samson commented: "For the first time we combined food and crafts together - and it proved to be really popular.
"The hall was buzzing throughout the day and it was great to have the community support. We would like to thank our exhibitors and visitors as well as the many volunteers who helped to make the event possible".
The Community Hall also hosted a raffle with all funds raised going towards its running.
