Car catches fire after colliding with wall in Ambleside
A CAR caught fire near Skelwith Fold Caravan Park, Ambleside, after colliding with a wall in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Firefighters were called to the unattended silver Ford Mondeo at around 1.05am and used hose reels to put the fire out.
No injuries were caused but the road was closed between Ambleside and Hawkshead while fire crews and police dealt with the incident.
