A BARN that went up in flames in Selside was tackled by three fire engines.

Firefighters were called to the agricultural building which was ‘well alight’ at North Gateside at 9.58pm yesterday (April 16).

Two engines from Kendal and one from Staveley attended the blaze which they extinguished using two hose reel jets and breathing equipment.

There was no further information available at the time.
