LITTLE Langdale author Ellen Bowness provides a very handy location guide to anyone interested in landscape photography in the Lakes.
It covers 50 locations, including lakes, tarns, waterfalls, viewpoints, caves and stone circles.
There are also handy directions, maps and tips on where to park.
Perhaps more importantly, the book includes advice on the best time, both of day and of the year, when to visit the locations to take pictures.
There is a table of sunrise and sunset times for the area and an indication of how seasonal changes in light can affect the photographic results.
The guide is published by Long Valley Books, which was founded by the author. Photographic guides to taking photographs in the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District are currently being prepared for release.
