Police have formally released the identifications of three men who died this morning following a triple road tragedy in west Cumbria.
The collision happened on the on the A596 at Crosby Villa near Cleator Moor early today.
Michael John Harrison, 47 from Queens Park, Aspatria, was driving a white Rover 220.
Jamie Lee Edmondson, 22 from School Close, Maryport was driving a Honda Civic.
His passenger was Todd Ridley, aged 18 from Netherview, Maryport, said police.
All three died at the scene.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the collision. The road was closed from 5.30am until 12 noon.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area near the time, at approximately 5:20am, is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 and speak to the Western Roads Policing Unit.
